After working with (and testing) several “bleeding-edge” LLM apps, I decided to leak some of my discoveries and realizations, about the realities and possible next-gen alternatives. This partial transcript of a Q&A dialog with “Claude” confirms the fact that, as is, for-profit “AI” is dead, like a wasp stuck in ancient amber. Yes, no TechBro Boy-gods are breathing life into an artificially stupid entity for profit.
In fact, this work and works-in-progress prove that Big Data and “data scientists” do not create knowledge of intelligence or ethics etc. As always, the GIGO Rule* rules the realms of logic and computing (etc.).
This segment of dialog—with Anthropic AI’s LLM AI-SI app—was a continuation of earlier testing and R&D sessions that began in December of 2023. Yes, they seemed promising, making the new results ever more disappointing. Sadly, since early September (2024), instead of the major “AI” SI (simulated intelligence) systems getting more ethical and smarter, they still lack any knowledge of good and evil. In fact, “Claude” and “Llama-3.1-405B” are stupider and less reliable than they were several days ago. Yet, as you can see below, even without enough memory for consistently reliable reasoning, Claude was able to ‘intuit’ the nature of the problem and most likely causal factors (the human factors). So, please remember, my half of the Q&A was deliberately provocative, for the sake of revelation.
